2025 Retreat Update

Rev Michele Owes: [00:00:00] Mrs. Cherry, what is happening July 17th through 19? Stay over the 20th, if you like, in 2025.

Rev. Diana P. Cherry: Well, the 17th, you want me to tell them what's going to happen before? What's going to…

Rev Michele Owes: Yes, go ahead.

Rev. Diana P. Cherry: On the 17th, sometime early in the morning. I was born 82 years ago. But that's not the exciting part. The exciting part is that we are going to start our second Teachable Women Retreat, and we are excited about it. If you are a woman, get excited.

Rev. Diana P. Cherry: We want to see you. And if you are married, guess what? You can even bring your husband, don't frown. He won't be in the sessions with you, but you'll get to enjoy him. After the sessions.

Rev Michele Owes: You [00:01:00] go.

Rev. Diana P. Cherry: Walk in the Galleria hand in hand. You might even talk 'them into buying you something new. The husbands had a good time last year.

Rev Michele Owes: They did.

Rev. Diana P. Cherry: In the last session, we invited them in to join us. Reverend Owes and I do a live podcast, and we have one of the anointed men of God to pray for us.

Rev. Diana P. Cherry: So bring your husband, girl.

Rev Michele Owes: Girl, bring your husband. The men had a wonderful time. Additionally, we will be hosting workshops this year. So when you come to the retreat, you're not just going to sit and listen. You will go to work and apply what you've learned. You're going to be working in some small groups, doing some tremendous things.

Rev Michele Owes: We are teaching on the transformative power of prayer, so we're not just going to talk to you about prayer. We're going to make sure you know all the components of prayer. We're going to make sure that you feel comfortable having a conversation with your God.

Rev. Diana P. Cherry: Yeah.

Rev Michele Owes: We have a [00:02:00] doctor who's going to talk to us about our female health, the things that we need to look out for, and things to watch out for regularly.

Rev Michele Owes: We also have a financial specialist who's going to talk with us about making sure that we're healthy financially. We are going to have a comedian. A Christian comedian, and she is awesome. We will be listening to her. She will also be sharing the word of God. She's got a call on her life and she has taken that call.

Rev Michele Owes: The Lord has given her permission to marry her comedy along with the call, and I'm telling you, it's like dew from heaven. So we are excited about having her with us. We are not giving you any names because the star of this show is Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. We were hoping you could come see him, and everything else will follow.

Rev Michele Owes: We are excited that it's going to be Mrs. Cherry's 82nd [00:03:00] birthday, but she's not the star of the show. Jesus is the star of the show, but He will allow her maybe to have some cake and maybe to have a few presents because it's her 82nd. She's shaking her head like, no, she doesn't want that. We get to do what we want to do as it relates to that.

Rev Michele Owes: So anyway, we are excited. We want you to know that your registration includes. We will have five meals, starting Thursday night at 7:00 PM. That will be our kickoff and introduction, and it will also include a reception afterward. Then we'll come on Friday morning at nine o'clock. And we'll have our sessions. You will have breakfast before you go into the session.

Rev Michele Owes: We will also provide lunch for you, and then on Saturday, you will have breakfast and lunch. At three o'clock on Saturday, you are free to be who God has molded and crafted you to be as a result of the preached word, In the [00:04:00] workshops you are applying what you've learned.

Rev Michele Owes: It is going to be a fantastic time in the Lord. As Mrs. Cherry said in the last session, we invite the husbands in. They don't, they're not going to sit at your table with you while you sit with your friends. We allow them to have chairs around the room. It's like they surround us

Rev. Diana P. Cherry: Yeah.

Rev Michele Owes: and they get a chance to participate in our live stream, and then they pray us out.

Rev Michele Owes: So. If you need some getaway time with your husband, if the children are always knocking on the door and interrupting and changing the mood, bring your husband to the retreat and have him to yourself for the next several nights, because dinner is on your own. We will let you go by four o'clock every day, so you can be and do what you and your husband desire to be.

Rev. Diana P. Cherry: Amen. So we're going to learn. We are going to laugh, and have a happy, good [00:05:00] time while we are there.

Rev Michele Owes: Yes.

Rev Michele Owes: That sounds good. I love that. I love that: Learn. Laugh and live. I love that. Okay, so remember the three L’s. Share it with someone. Share the podcast, share the retreat.
